epa05832244 (FILE) – An undated file photo released by the North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the state news agency of North Korea, shows an ‘underwater test-fire of strategic submarine ballistic missile’ conducted at an undisclosed location in North Korea (reissued 06 March 2017). According to reports quoting South Korea’s military, North Korea has test-fired multiple missiles on 06 March 2017, from a missile base located in Tongchang-ri region, near the border with China. It was not immediately known the exact number or type of missiles being fired. The projectiles reportedly flew some 1,000 km towards the Sea of Japan, the South Korean military added. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe commented the incident saying that three of four ballistic missiles landed in Japanese exclusive economic zone (EEZ), media said.
