L’iconico Lincoln Center di New York ha ospitato le nozze di massa di 500 coppie che erano state costrette ad annullare il matrimonio per la pandemia di Covid.

Il mega evento, che è stato chiamato ‘Rewedding’, è cominciato domenica scorsa alle 17.30 ora locale (le 23.30 in Italia) con una cerimonia interreligiosa officiata dal reverendo Jacqui Lewis, l’imam Khalid Latif e il rabbino Matt Green.

Ma la verità è che le persone hanno continuato a innamorarsi, a impegnarsi l’una con l’altra e a mostrare ogni giorno fiducia nel futuro”, ha detto la direttrice artistica del Lincoln Shanta Thake. “Volevamo onorare tutto l’amore che si è creato durante i giorni più bui della crisi e dare alle coppie uno spazio per festeggiare”.
